So my partner O took the initiative to book us a nice telly for the trip. He did a good job given it was reasonable priced per night and very centralized to everything including the venue we rocking. Plenty of food joints, downtown style shops, and random bars and strip tease theatres up and down Market St… one of the main arteries in downtown SF. im having a blast so far..now only if I can get my hands on some bomb!!

Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao easily disposes Clottey!

Not really too fond of this fight with a timid scared ass Clottey just holding guard 85% of the fight. Might of as well put a punching bag in the ring because thats what Manny was jabbing on. Boring and unexciting fight but its always a pleasure watching Pac Man wail on fools!!

Boxing to me got boring over the years, until this rising star out the Philippines named Manny Pacquiao surfaced into the circuit KO’ing his opponents one bout at a time. Today, I have to say he’s the most exciting boxer and athlete to watch. Not only the entertaining aspects of it, but you can see his motivation and passion for the sport. Getting a glimpse of him behind the scenes training and just being a straight up humble dude, really scores for him and proves to the world that his is undoubtedly one of the best boxers of our generation in and out the ring. I predict it be over in 9 rounds…..PaqMan prevails!!

Ronin Gallery Relocating – New Space + New Blood + New Works = New $$$

Just got word and the confirmation that Ronin Gallery will be relocating to the Silver Lake. They will be occupying the Thinkspace Gallery, as they are also relocating to a better space. So upgrade and growth is expected when you run a business so lets just keep focus on that. Nex Gen is the first official grand opening show under the Ronin Gallery umbrella coming April 2010.

Royal Claytons – Art Walk pre party & Happy Hour….

Just linked with up with my long time bredren Longev and shot over to the local English Pub in the hood called Royal Claytons. Since I’ve moved back here, I haven’t got a chance to stop by. But thanks to Longev and him paying dues to the bars all around town for years of residing in downtown, he got us covered thru his boy that managed the spot. Also ran into the homie Plex who also bartends there, so you’ll know I will be returning back real soon. Let me add that the food was pretty good too, munching on some calamari and pizza, a few rounds of PBR and a Irish Car Bomb to top off our visit. Wish I would’ve got some pics of the food and especially the bill which came out to a whopping $2.19 total for all that. I don’t think that even equals to the tax on the whole bill if it was straight up….Good Look Gregory!!

MAKO – Lunchtime on Vermont… (Good Eats)

After special delivering the tees to CHLA, I took a stroll north of my local and hit Mako, a hole in the wall Jap eatery adjacent to the movie theatre. I’ve been coming here for years but haven’t been here in a minute. Prices are very reasonable and the menu is very simple with the cali rolls, tempura, chicken teri, and Mahi Mahi which I had. Good lunch for a hards day of work!!

CHLA – Childrens Hospital LA assist Haiti (Project)

Out of my clients I enjoy working with and am fortunate to as well do so, is CHLA. They’ve been significant in child care and health for children of the immediate LA metropolitan areas. I’ve done other projects for them in the past and this was a bit more meaningful. This will be for the Volunteers of CHLA on their way to Haiti to help with the quake aftermath. My mom is currently out there doing the same, helping out with her organization. I wish them well safe being and commend them highly for being there, so this was the least I can do.

Super Bowl 2010′ Party Jumpoff – Recap

After a long week of prepping for GOG party and glad it was all over with. I was totally unaware that it was Super Bowl Sunday or forgot. Not much of a sports fan unless I have wagers on games which should’ve been the case here. I had pay to play, but no go there. 2 of my very good friends Shana May & Tin whom I hardly ever get to hang with invited me to a Super Bowl party in Diamond Bar. Didn’t want to be a loner loser at home with no TV, I dipped out with them to their friend Jackie’s house. I forgot how Filipino families get down and do it when theres an occasion or celebration. Since I was like in 5th grade when I use to have alot of Flip friends and remembered all that. It felt good to be surrounded by friends and family whom I hardly know but they treated you like you were fam! Food and drinks for days, I stated I was overwhelmed for a moment, but that was a good thing =) Grubbed and sipped and laughed! Overall, it was a perfect way to end a busy ass week, and Saints brought one home finally! Its good look for the city of N.O. since they did suffer from Katrina a few years back. A good measure to fuel the rebuild process in their city.
